PS Digital's Latest Workshop with the SCECA

In a recent workshop organized by the Suffolk County Electrical Contractor Association (SCECA), PS Digital's digital marketing strategist, Brian LeDonne, shared invaluable insights into the world of digital marketing, shedding light on strategies that can transform the online presence of electricians.

The Power of Reviews: Building a 4-Star Reputation

Brian emphasized the pivotal role of online reviews in shaping a business's image, stressing the importance of maintaining a 4-star rating or above. In an era where consumer decisions are heavily influenced by reviews, cultivating positive online feedback has emerged as a critical aspect of business success.

Google Business Profile: A Free Marketing Asset

An essential takeaway from the workshop was the significance of optimizing Google Business Profiles. Brian highlighted this as a free service that businesses should leverage, customizing it with crucial details for enhanced online visibility and credibility.

Addressing a common concern, Brian clarified that reviews from a company's website don't automatically transfer to the Google Business Profile. Actively encouraging clients to leave reviews on Google became a key strategy to boost online reputation.

Managing Online Reputation: Disputing Unfair Reviews

Participants raised questions about handling negative reviews, prompting Brian to assure them of a recourse. If a review is unjust, particularly if it involves a disgruntled past employee or is irrelevant, it can be disputed. Google's review of the dispute claim ensures appropriate action is taken.

Filtering Reviews on Your Website: The Widget Solution

Brian introduced a solution for businesses aiming to showcase only positive reviews on their websites. Installing a widget filters reviews, displaying only those with 4or 5-starratings, enhancing the website's credibility.

LSA: Revolutionizing Digital Marketing for Electricians

In addition to the discussion on reviews, Brian highlighted the transformative power of Local Service Ads (LSA). Operating on a Pay-Per-Call basis, LSA ensures electricians are among the first to be contacted by potential customers, providing a cost-effective way to generate calls and leads.

The Crucial Role of an Optimized Website

Brian stressed the importance of having an optimized website, especially for those running Google Ads. "If your website isn't that good or optimized, you're just wasting money driving traffic to the site," exclaimed Brian. He used Call Me Electric in Babylon as an example, showcasing their 4.9 rating and emphasizing the human aspect of businesses. "You want to show people that you bleed and you're not perfect," said Brian.

PS Digital's workshop with SCECA provided electricians with a comprehensive understanding of digital marketing strategies. From the importance of online reviews and Google Business Profile optimization to managing online reputation, implementing LSA, and ensuring website optimization —these strategies collectively propel electricians to the forefront of the digital landscape, ensuring sustained success in the evolving online marketplace.
