How To Make The Best Use Out Of Your Instagram Bio Link

Danielle Speciale • April 18, 2022

It's no surprise that businesses want to drive traffic to their website, and social media is likely one of their main vehicles to do so. While including outbound links to your website on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn posts is easy, Instagram is more limited in options. This is where your Instagram Bio comes into play.

Linking the Problem

As mentioned before, Instagram does not allow you to include clickable links to your feed posts. This can put a damper on any business who planned on promoting their blog content, their service pages, or their website in general using Instagram. However, you can make good use of your Instagram bio link to promote your website. Let's see how!

The Contents of Your Bio

Your Instagram bio consists of a few main components:

  • Your account name
  • Your bio
  • Your link

Aside from the newly added feature that allows you to share links via your Instagram Stories, this is the only place where you can share an outbound link organically. We now run into a new issue. We only have room to share one link in our bio.

This issue presents a few problems depending on the type of content you were hoping to share. If you were planning on just sharing a link to your home page, you will have enough real estate to work with, but that's not maximizing your bio's use.

If you planned on sharing links to blog posts, videos, or other content you produce, then it might become tedious to change out your link every time you post something new. Plus, if people find an old post of yours promoting a blog from a few weeks ago and want to find a link to it, they will only be greeted with the most recent post link.

Solutions

There are a few solutions to remedy this issue, but all these ideas center around turning that link into a landing page or a link hub. Let's take a look at a few ways you can do this.

Free Link in Bio Services

If you conduct a simple Google search for "link in bio", you will hopefully find this blog post, but you will also find a plethora of services that promise to provide the best link hub solutions for your business's Instagram account. Below are a few services that we think provide the best branding features and flexibility for your business.

  • LinkTree
  • Later.com
  • LinkFolio
  • Campsite
  • ContactInBio

Though all of these platforms have their own unique features and designs that set them apart, they all have similar core features: You can add links that go to your website, you can add additional links to your other social media accounts, and you can connect your posts to specific links.

Creating Your Own Landing Page from Scratch

If none of these options fit the bill for your business, you can always opt into creating your own landing page from scratch that fits your business' specific needs. If you are using a web builder, it'll be relatively easy to create a landing page that contains all the important links you need, looks the way you want it to, and avoids the paywalls most of these services have to remove their branding.

If you are working with a team of expert web developers, ask them about creating an

Instagram landing page, how that fits within your budget, and the process that goes into making one. Working with a team of experts will allow you to have the Instagram landing page of your dreams so you can engage your customers the way you have always intended.

September on Long Island: Celebrating National Days and Local Events September is a special time on Long Island, where the last whispers of summer blend with the early hints of fall. It’s a month filled with opportunities for fun, community, and celebration. As we transition into autumn, it’s the perfect time for businesses to engage with their audiences by tapping into both national days and local events. Here’s a look at some of September’s highlights and how your brand can make the most of them. 1. National Self-Care Awareness Month (September) With the hustle and bustle of life, especially as kids head back to school and the holiday season approaches, self-care is more important than ever. September is National Self-Care Awareness Month, a perfect opportunity for brands to promote wellness. Whether you’re in the beauty, wellness, or health industry, this is the time to share tips, products, and services that encourage your audience to take time for themselves. On Long Island, this could also tie into local spa days, wellness retreats, or even quiet walks through the beautiful parks like Caleb Smith State Park Preserve. You can create content around local self-care spots or partner with nearby wellness centers for promotions. 2. Long Island’s Fall Festivals September on Long Island is synonymous with vibrant fairs and festivals that celebrate the changing seasons. The Long Island Garlic Festival at Garden of Eve Organic Farm in Riverhead is a favorite, offering a unique mix of garlicky goodness, local vendors, and family fun. These events provide a fantastic opportunity for businesses to get involved. National Grandparents Day (September 8) Grandparents are the pillars of many families, and this day is dedicated to honoring them. If your brand has a family-oriented focus, consider creating a campaign that celebrates grandparents. Whether it’s through heartwarming stories, discounts, or special events, there’s a lot you can do to show appreciation. Why not encourage your followers to take their grandparents to one of Long Island’s picturesque spots?
